SPIEGELWORLD
Spiegelworld came to life in New York City in the summer of 2006. At its core is a unique venue; a heritage 600-seat Belgian spiegeltent. Popular across Europe during the early 20th century, the luxurious traveling spiegeltents were used as dance halls and music/cabaret venues, featuring intimate in-the-round seating, ornate wooden panelling, mirrors, stained-glass windows, and velvet-upholstered seating booths.
Spiegelworld also features a carnival-style village of outdoor dining and bar facilities and a VIP speak-easy bar. Since 2006, Spiegelworld has presented an annual 12 week summer season in New York City on Pier 17, South Street Seaport. Spiegelworld has produced a range of acclaimed shows within the spiegeltent, which reinvent the traditions of circus, cabaret, variety and burlesque for a 21st century audience. These adult-oriented shows include Absinthe, La Vie, Late Night Lounge and Desir. Spiegelworld has also toured to Miami South Beach and Melbourne where we were the feature entertainment of the 2009 Australian Open tennis grand slam.
Spiegelworld now comes to Las Vegas, opening at Caesars Palace on April 1st 2011. Come to the carnival - Stripside!
